Perth, the capital city of Western Australia, located where the Swan River meets the Southwest coast.
If you're looking for stuff like skyscrapers, shopping outlets filled with luxurious brands, theme parks, etc. then I would suggest that you look away from Perth and look towards places like Gold Coast, Sydney and Melbourne. Now, you're probably wondering what's so special about Perth and why did I choose to visit this particular city. Perth is considered a quiet city - in other words you wouldn't feel the rush hour traffic or bustling, lively city ambiance which makes your trip a relaxing and comfortable one. Now for me, I come from a small humble town called Kota Kinabalu in the island of Borneo which is also known for its slow-paced lifestyle so this factor is one that is close to my heart and it really piqued my interest. I also feel that the culture and local supermarkets in Perth are something to look forward to. Australians are generally nice people but I think the locals in Perth stands out from the rest because they're so friendly and warm to the point that you could talk to anyone in Perth and feel like you've known them for years! For some people who are not familiar with the language and are worried about a language barrier, fret not because you can install mobile phone applications to help overcome this problem. There are a lot of applications out there in the market so it's really your own choice to choose the one that suits you best.
Now let's move on to the supermarket topic. In my opinion, Australians are one of the pioneers in the modern supermarket trend because there a lot of varieties to choose from - you could walk to the confectionery, biscuit section and find almost hundreds of Australian brands on the shelf, I'm not kidding it's actually true! A couple of the famous supermarkets include Coles, Woolsworth and IGA. I personally prefer Coles compared to the rest and I don't know why, I just like the products available at Coles. Here's the interesting part about supermarkets, on every Wednesday there will be new flyers distributed and some items will be on discounts - so if you happen to be there on a Wednesday make sure you grab one for yourself! I got this useful tip from my aunt who has been living there for close to 20 years now and I'm so glad I knew about this because it sounds like heaven to me. If you're feeling a little lazy and you just want to stay indoors, simply get online and go to their website, select all the items that you wish to purchase, make your payment, select your delivery time and you'll have everything you need delivered to your doorstep! Online grocery shopping is something I really like about supermarkets in Australia because it brings me back to the time when I studied in the UK where supermarkets there offered similar facilities too and it just saves so much of my time - oh, how I missed my university days! Some people still prefer to go down to the supermarkets and handpick their own fruits, vegetables as they believe it's more fresh and it's really up to your own preferences because as the saying goes, you do whatever that floats your boat.
A lot of people will definitely ask for the best season to visit Perth, now bear in mind that the seasons run differently than that of countries in the northern hemisphere like the UK and other European countries. Summer is from December to February, autumn is from March to May, winter is from June to August, and spring is from September to November. I love autumn because I enjoy looking at deciduous trees lose their leaves and the ground is filled with brown yellowish leaves, now I don't know about you guys but I just love seeing an environment associated with autumn. It's the transition from summer to winter which means that the temperature cools down considerably from the summer heat, but it's not too cold like winter so you don't have to wrap yourself with thick clothing and look like a snowman. If you're someone who loves to relax at the beach, participate in water sports activities, then summer is the right season for you. I've heard from my aunt as well as other friends talking about how the heat during the summer is unbearable and temperatures could reach as high as 40 degree Celsius. When temperatures hit that high, the strong ultraviolet rays could potentially damage the human skin so always remember to apply plenty of sunblock before you go out into the blazing sun - I would recommend Nivea sunblock as I've been using this brand for quite some time now and it's been protecting me from the heat all this while.
The information below isn't exactly a detailed, thorough review of the state as I did not get to visit Geraldton, which is where my aunt is currently living. There were also some zoos in the area but I'm not a big fan of animals so I didn't choose to visit any zoos, but the following destinations listed below are potentially great pointers if you're looking to make an itinerary for an unforgettable trip to WA.
Now let's begin with my 7 days itinerary journey in WA. Upon arriving at the Perth airport terminal 1, I was welcomed by my Aunt who has been living here since the year 2005.First stop we went to Busselton city. It took us nearly 3 hours driving from airport and we finally arrived at Busselton city, situated on the southwest tip of Western Australia.
- Bring as little things as possible because the Australian Immigration is very strict
- Please declare if you bring any items stated in the incoming passenger card
- Always remember to write the full details of your address in the arrival card, or else you'll find a bit of trouble with the security personnel.
Driving tips : If you're driving or renting a car to drive in Australia, do remember that "Australia is a place where you would not want to drive above the speed limit, believe it or not locals say that police car will appears within minutes if you break the rules!"

Best places to visit in Busselton city?
Busselton Jetty
Busselton Jetty is the longest timber piled jetty in the southern hemisphere and it is 1.841km long. You can hopp on the famous jetty train if you want to sit back and relax on a 1.7km journey across calm and clear water of Geography Bay. Unfortunately luck was not on our side because the jetty train was closed when we visited the place. However, we manage to take pictures on the railway track.
Signal Park
We went to a rotary markets in Signal Park. I remembered my Aunt told me that this market is only open on a Sunday morning from 7am to 12.30pm. There are numerous stalls with a wide variety of goods available including, food and drink, local products, arts and crafts and clothing. Do wake up early if you want to visit this market or else you'll regret.

Leeuwin-Naturaliste National Park
By the name itself you can kind of guess that it is a national park which is located 267km south of Perth. The name of this national park is named after the two locations of the lighthouses at the end of the park, Cape Leeuwin and Cape Naturaliste.

Perth city
After three days strolling around Busselton city, we finally make our move to the next stop, Perth city centre.
- Kings Park Perth
This park is 400.6 hectare, overlooking the central business district of Perth and Perth water. This park is a great spot for picnic during the summer because it is a mixture of botanic gardens and grassed parkland. You can enjoy your time with you family over and most importantly the entrance is free of charge. So why not?

- Hakata Gensuke
Last but not the least I would like to recommend this Japanese restaurant, Hakata Gensuke. Overall I rate it 8/10. I tried both the Signature Tonkotsu and Black Tonkotsu. Personally I prefer the Black one because of the black sesame taste.
Black Tonkotsu : Original tonkotsu broth with their special fried garlic and black sesame paste topped with homemade thin noodles, tender pork cha-shu, black fungus, soy-marinated egg and spring onions.
Signature Tonkotsu: Original pork broth which is perfect vessels for the full-bodied and collagen-rich pork bone coup, served with the homemade thin noodles, tender pork cha-shu, black fungus, soy-marinated egg and spring onions.
It's worth to try if you are a ramen person. but I have to warn you again, there's a queue here too! I queued for 2 hours before manage to get in and enjoy the ramen. What I can say is that there's always a price to pay for good food, which is to be patient in the queue and watch all the people enjoy the food while you're standing out there just drooling over yourself.
